Cor began his career at the Dutch Broadcast Foundation (NOS), which later became the N.O.B. ( Dutch Foundation to delivere facilties for television programmes).There he learned set design for television programmes. With his eye for detail, his technical ability and sense of aesthetics he has accomplished various (television) projects. He applied the same talents in the restoration of his classic car, a fanatic hobby of his. According to experts the restoration is 'excellent with a strikingly beautiful interior'.
Not long after the foundation of Setdesign in 1990, and while she was still studying Communication, Karin applied herself to the young business. Nowadays, if it is not Setdesign that requires her attention, then there are always two adolescent daughters to keep her busy. She loves cooking, preferably including home-grown produce from her own vegetable-garden.

Public broadcasters have been our clients for many years now. Just a few of the set designs we accomplished: Rondom Tien (NCRV), IKON Live, Alziend Oog (IKON), Van Huis Uit (BVN tv), Nieuwslicht (VARA), TV3 (NPS), B&W (VARA), Kruispunt (KRO), Spraakmakende Zaken (IKON).
We design interiors for businesses, amusement centres, casinos, offices, restaurants and events.
For many years we have taken care of the PHILIPS (Domestic Appliances) product launches , an annual event which takes place both in the Netherlands and abroad. Commissioned by Joop van den Ende we designed the restaurants in Showbizcity Aalsmeer, Beatrixtheater Utrecht (Chicago, Saturday Night Fever) en Fortis Circustheater in Scheveningen (Aida).
We design furniture, mostly for sets and interior jobs, for example presentation tables, desks and light objects.
If requested, we can give our input regarding exterior design inorder to create a balance between interior and exterior designs.
